Computer, Home, Things, Projects, Data, hostnames, undo.

The terms used on the rest of these pages.

• Computer. The durable object. Software and agents are replaceable; the computer persists.
• Home. Your page at <name>.emptyos.com: an index of Things, Data, status, and recent changes with Undo.
• Things. A file, a static site, or a service. Each is its own git repository under ~/things/<id>, served at /<id>.
• Projects. Organization only. A Thing belongs to at most one.
• Data. Durable, under ~/data, outside every Thing's history and outside Undo. Software gets replaced; Data does not.
• Three hostnames. <name>.emptyos.com is yours and needs owner sign-in. public.<name>.emptyos.com anonymously serves only what you have exposed. shared.<name>.emptyos.com serves eligible static Things only to signed-in accounts named in their local grants.
• Changes and undo. One commit per change. empty undo <change-id> reverts one target and never touches Data.
• Resident agent, your agent. The computer carries its own operating instructions in ~/EMPTY.md. Your agent connects from outside with the empty client and can work inside it with empty ssh.
